The evidence behind the seasonal flu vaccine for children is unusually good.
Reduction in flu-related hospitalisation and medical visits in children, in recent surveillance seasons. The range across seasons ran roughly a third to two thirds.
Babies under six months carry the highest flu hospitalisation rate of any age group, and are too young for their own dose. Vaccinating an older child is how you shield the youngest one.
The whole household is less likely to spend a week passing it between them.

Effectiveness figures from published multi-season influenza vaccine effectiveness surveillance in children, and CDC guidance on infants at higher risk. Population statistics,
not predictions about any individual child. Season-specific results vary. General information, not personal medical advice.
Every one of those is a two-minute answer from someone who knows your child. The membership exists so you stop rationing them. Ask at 2am, ask on a Sunday, ask about the thing that turns out to be nothing.
Illustrative example of how care navigator messaging works. Not a real patient conversation, and not a substitute for clinical assessment.
A paediatrician reviews your child's record before every dose, and you leave knowing what tonight should look like and exactly when to message us.
Essential covers your child's flu vaccination. Plus covers family flu vaccination, about ₹5,000 saved for a family of four.

Consultation, vaccine, administration, consumables and taxes, all included, per dose. Published Indian flu-vaccine pricing commonly runs around ₹2,000 to ₹2,500 a dose, and higher at some clinics, so the member rate sits meaningfully below the usual range. First-timers under nine need two doses a month apart, both at the member price.
Flu pricing runs for this season's drive. Membership renews at the same price. Vaccination and membership stay separate decisions, and your child gets vaccinated whether or not you join.

A child aged six months to eight years receiving the influenza vaccine for the first time needs two doses, a month apart. From nine years upward it is a single dose. After that first year it is one dose annually, because the strains change each season. Both first-year doses are charged at the member price.
Not yet. The flu vaccine starts at six months, which is exactly why the babies at highest risk cannot be given it directly. What protects them is the people around them being vaccinated, including older siblings and adult caregivers, and maternal vaccination during pregnancy. Ask us and we will talk you through the household plan for your family.
No, it cannot give your child flu. The inactivated influenza vaccines used for children contain no live virus. Some children get a sore arm or a mild low-grade fever for a day, which is the immune system doing its job, not an infection. A paediatrician reviews your child's record, medicines and any past reactions before the dose.
India has two influenza peaks, roughly August to October after the monsoon and again from January to March. Protection takes about two weeks to build, so earlier in a peak is better than later, but later still beats not at all.
Broadly yes, for practical purposes. The seasonal influenza vaccine used each year covers the circulating A strains, which include H1N1, the strain commonly called swine flu, along with H3N2 and an influenza B strain. Your paediatrician will confirm this season's formulation at the visit.
No, and we keep it that way deliberately. Vaccination is a standalone service at ₹2,499. Whether it is clinically right for your child today is decided by a clinician who is not thinking about the offer at all. The member price is simply available to you if you join.
Yes, and on Plus their shots are ₹1,250 as well. Adult flu vaccination matters most for anyone pregnant, over 65, or living with a chronic condition, and it is how you protect a baby too young for their own dose. Lavender Lane is a paediatric centre, so message us to confirm adult slots when you book.
Nothing changes. Membership is ₹4,999 for Essential and ₹9,999 for Plus, and it renews at the same price. The half-price vaccination is a member benefit, not a teaser rate.
“The question I most want to hear is the one a parent thinks is silly. Those are the ones that catch things early. I would far rather be asked a hundred times about nothing than once, too late, because someone was worried about wasting my time or their money.”
