When your child needs emergency care

Go to the nearest emergency department now for

• Severe breathing difficulty, blue lips or marked chest retractions
• A prolonged seizure or repeated seizures without recovery
• Loss of consciousness, collapse or altered awareness
• Severe or uncontrolled bleeding
• A serious allergic reaction with breathing difficulty or facial swelling
• Green or bloody vomiting with severe pain
• Extreme drowsiness, severe dehydration or rapid deterioration
• Any situation in which the child appears critically unwell
