About Dr. Jayati Agrawal

Digestive problems in children rarely announce themselves clearly. They show up as a picky eater who is quietly falling off the growth chart, a school-goer with stomach aches no one can locate, a baby whose jaundice should have faded weeks ago. Dr. Jayati Agrawal has spent her career learning to read these signals.

A paediatrician first and a gastroenterologist second, she trained across some of India's most demanding children's hospitals: KEM Hospital in Mumbai, B.J. Wadia Hospital for Children, King George's Medical University, and the paediatric gastroenterology department at SGPGIMS Lucknow, where she completed her post-doctoral certification. She went on to senior positions at KIMS Trivandrum and the Post Graduate Institute of Child Health in Noida before joining Lavender Lane.

Her particular focus is the child whose problem is chronic rather than acute: coeliac disease, persistent diarrhoea, liver disease, neonatal cholestasis, chronic pancreatitis and the nutritional fallout that follows all of them. She works closely with the nutrition team so that a diagnosis comes with a plan a family can actually follow at home, and she takes time with parents, because a child's gut history is mostly told by the people who feed them.

At Lavender Lane she brings this to a setting designed around children from the ground up, where investigations, follow-up and nutrition support sit under one roof.
