Senior Consultant, Paediatric & Metabolic Nutrition
M.Sc, RD
Formerly Senior Dietitian in the Department of Pediatrics at AIIMS, New Delhi, Ms. Anuja Agarwala is one of India's most respected voices in paediatric nutrition. She brings 34 years of experience in clinical nutrition, from everyday feeding concerns to complex metabolic and genetic disorders.

For 34 years, Ms. Anuja Agarwala has answered one of the hardest questions parents ask: Is my child eating right? At AIIMS, New Delhi, where she served as Senior Dietitian in the Department of Paediatrics and still consults with the Genetics division as Senior Metabolic Nutritionist, that question has often come with the highest stakes. She has worked with children with epilepsy, auto immune disorders, rare genetic and metabolic disorders and other complex systemic disorders where diet is not supportive care—it is the treatment itself.
Her training is genuinely global. She completed a Fellowship in Paediatric Nutrition at Birmingham Children's Hospital in the UK and is a Certified Genetic Metabolic Dietitian with the British Dietetic Association. She is also certified in dietary therapies for epilepsy and autism and trained in the FODMAP approach for gut disorders at Monash University, the institution that developed it.
She is the Founder of the Nutrition Foundation of Genetic Disorders and National Vice President of the Indian Dietetic Association. Generations of Indian doctors have learnt nutrition through her work. She co-authored the Nutrition chapter in Essentials of Paediatrics, a standard textbook for MBBS students, and has authored 40 research publications in national and international journals.
At Lavender Lane, she consults on paediatric nutrition across the spectrum—from feeding difficulties and growth concerns to specialized dietary therapy for diabetes, epilepsy, gut disorders and metabolic conditions.
